Think outside the box, or rather the screen, this Special Learning Session will allow participants to approach and view films outside the traditional viewing setting. Sharon Hayes is a video, performance and installation artist that tackles complex questions about history, politics and speech. In this workshop, participants will take a hands-on approach in understanding their relationship to the image and screen. This workshop asks participants to bring 1-3 minutes worth of footage and be ready to project, so that they can work with projectors to scale and display videos. What happens when you move the image off the screen? How does image size impact viewing? How does video placement impact the audience?
