Special Learning Session with Ted Passon: Philly D.A. - The Story Unfolds
This workshop will be hosted live at Scribe, but will also be available virtually via Zoom. If you plan to attend in-person, please email us at inquiry@scribe.org.
Ted Passon, with his filmmaking partners Yoni Brook and Nicole Salazar, began filming the election campaign of Larry Krasner for district attorney in 2017. The initial story about an improbable election campaign became a much larger set of stories about the criminal justice system and finally developed into the mega-award winning eight-part PBS series Philly DA. Join Ted Passon as he screens segments of some of the earliest configurations of Philly DA in an exploration of the creative process and path of this massive and impactful documentary series.
Ted Passon is an award-winning director, writer, producer, and video artist. He created and directed the critically acclaimed docuseries Philly DA, along with co-director Yoni Brook and producer Nicole Salazar. The series premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and internationally premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Ted has written and directed over eight original children’s television series for Disney and Comcast. He is a co-founder of All Ages Productions, a full-service film and video production company and a board member of the Blackstar Film Festival.
