The extraordinary Sonia Sanchez, a global literary phenomenon, has been an inspiration to filmmakers through her practice of haiku, sonku, and other unique poetic forms. Her poetry and plays have helped time-based media artists create the structure, substance, and visualization of their works.

Join us for an online discussion with Sister Sonia Sanchez about filmic collaborations, in addition to screening a selection of shorts and excerpts of films inspired by Sanchez.  A limited number of seats are available for in-person attendance.
